Working in the Refugee Community, it has been challenging to manage T1DM patients as we still use premix insulin. I now understand why their sugars haven’t been well controlled.
The seasions were educative and interactive at the same time. The practical seasions were key and will forever be embedded in my mind. Big shout out to PESK, CHAI and MoH for making this training a reality. Information learnt will be cascaded to other health practitioners at my facility.

Grateful with the training on the Diabetes Type 1 management. The psychosocial aspect requires more emphasis as per the IASC and WHO guidelines interventions. Clearly bring on board the Indicators to be measured during care. Routine PSS assessment need to be done and reported as a key Patient Quality of Care indicator

As facilitators, we felt we had very good attendees, who were eager to learn. We have created a team that will help lighten the load on the back of families of children living with diabetes. People are scared of what they do not know. With the attained knowledge, you will make diabetes education lighter. Keep up the spirit!!! The PESK team is just a phone call away.
